Valley Veterinary Hospital is a small 2 doctor veterinary clinic located on a quaint and charming piece of property on rt 7 in New Milford, Ct. We are a practice that has seen significant change in the last year and we are looking for a credentialed veterinary technician to join the team and work hard with us as we settle in to our new normal.

We are an integrative practice so we ask that our applicants be open to complementary therapies - like nutritional, herbal, acupuncture and manipulative. As a practice we are highly interactive with our clients and similarly our technicians are more involved with client care and service than most technician positions.

Job Duties include;
assist doctors in exam rooms,
run technician appointments (nail trims, blood draws, laser therapy, etc)
monitor anesthesia
monitor in-patients and administer necessary injections/fluids etc
speak with clients on the doctors' behalf

The best fit for this job is an individual who considers themselves to be interested in providing warm and compassionate care to our clients and patients, careful and proud of their work, understands the value of great teamwork and strives along with us to provide excellent care in an ever changing world. We are a good-natured (and funny) team. We are a do-no-harm type of practice and prefer to get to the root of health and behavioral issues with client education and positive reinforcement. An inquisitive mind, a positive attitude and a fear-free approach is an absolute must for our best-fit candidate. Our clients and patients are awesome and are deserving of our A-game every day.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

In light of the current events, we will ask that all applicants be amenable to participating in a video interview process. We can accommodate several video conference platforms. The interviews will be held by the Practice Manager within the hospital and if time permits, may allow for a video hospital tour.
